i posted the same question. i dont know if anyone knows the answer to this question. there are 2 experimental cases on the exam and i dont know if these are not scored no matter how you do, or if they take the best 10 cases. i tried locating the answer online but it is no where to be found. unfortunately we are all in the dark as far as how this exam is scored

i found the answer out on the aamc website:
Description of Step 2 CS: Step 2 CS is a one-day test that mirrors a physician's typical workday in a clinic and other settings. Examinees will examine eleven or twelve "standardized patients"—people trained to portray real patients. These include a very small number of non-scored patient encounters, which are added for piloting new cases and other research purposes.
so it seems that those pilot cases are not scored regardless of how well you do on them
