Can any one give me an idea about how and where to apply for obsevership/intership and how much does it cost and if one is being paid any salary during this period or is it all on you? Sorry for not being very much experienced about this subject, but I can not find any info on it.

By the way, is observership or clerkship considered as hands on clinical experience?

Just go to Freida and send a bunch of emails to all program directors and ask them if they offer prematchn they will answer if they do or do no and what do you need to send them. They dont pay observerships as far as I know

Child...this is a copy of one of my post in the past: "Raul....let me share my experience with you......stop looking for specific hospitals!!!!.......go to the best University based hospital nearby you place. Ask ALL the attendings and faculty in the field you desire If they could keep you as their observer for a couple of months. I guarantee 150% you will get you Observership, and also you will see how many nice people are out there. smiling face Many of them are so willing to help, that they bend the rules a little bit for you. Tha problem is that Amazon doesn't have a book with their names....SO GET YOUR B..... MOVING AND LOOK FOR THEM!!! sticking out tongue And one more advise....after your observership, DONT BE SHY!!! ask for you very strong Letter of Recommendation, you worked very hard for it!" Good luck P.D: Observerships are volunteer work NOT PAID
