Hi there...

this is a very weird question, i hope no one laughs at me but i am utterly confused.

i have heard of edward goljan, who has many pathology books out, and his audio, lectures and notes available. now.. in one of his lectures he mentioned , a professor hansen teaching biochem. and another professor teaching physiology.

does this mean, that goljan is part of a group of professors who teach all of the basic sciences? sort of like professors who teach the kaplan review courses?!

i would love to find out what professors he works along side of, and what subjects those are... because i think that anyone working alongside him... will be of great help in helping me do well on the step 1.

please let me know.. where i can download the rest of the basic sciences material. i would really like to know.

i know dr hansen does biochem.. what does she have available for it?
what abotu the rest of the subjects?

is ther ea course i can take with these professors.

ahh i am going crazy please let me know asap

hismiling face no need to go crazysmiling face it's all very simple. Dr. Goljan does mention other professors and you are right, Dr. Hansen is teaching Bio, another Bio teacher i know is Sam Turco - great-great guy. There are also, Dr. Fischer and Dr. Dunn (Physio) and other great teachers for other subjects. The thing is - all these wonderful people are lecturing @Kaplan (Live Prep). As fas as i know there is no other aoudio our there, only Goljan, who is very upset (he has a reason) that his rights are violated and in respons to all this he has his new book out very soon (it's being printed now and i hope it wil be out soon). Like i said, there is no other audio. so relax and pay attention to the material you havesmiling face and good luck

I responded to medchick via PM but since you mentioned Goljan's book, his book was released on November 15th. I ordered it from the publisher directly. He also co-Authored a BioChem book which I ordered as well. Each one is 34.95 and the publisher ships with UPS without charging the buyer with a 30 day preview period! Not a bad deal. The publisher is Elsevier (www.Elsevier.com) but be careful because both biochem and the path book have 1st editions as well.

he teaches with kaplan and tells the students to throw the kaplan path book in the garbage...what is up with that?...it tells you what is what with kaplan and their review books...

Hey Doctora shaking head He did say that but then he apologized and said he didn't mean to be rude about it. Bottom line is that he's trying to help students and by you quoting him like that, I can only imagine what kaplan officials will feel like if they see it and maybe next time he'll keep his helpful opinion to himself! He feels comfortable with students and says what he thinks. His more professional opinion about the book simply said that the book lacked integration which is a pretty important part of pathology. When I asked him what he thought about other kaplan books and if he recommended other books instead, he said that he thinks they're all great except the path book. So that's what's up with that and it doesn't say anything about kaplan and their review books but I'm sure if you have extra free time you can make something out of it nod Oh and kaplan teaches with him, not the other way around lol
