influenza A is the most important virus that undergo antigenic shift (reassortment of segments and combination with other species of influenza, pig, bird). But the question must be wrong because pandemics are not periodic , the epidemics are the periodic flu in winter and spring. its influenze a , if you remember the influenze vaccine they give you h1n1 + h1n3 + influnza b. Just another way you could hae figured it out if you forgot. Influenza A.
