hello everyone

got done with my exam yesterday.i am glad it's over.let me jump straight to the exam day. OH it was one of the longest days i have ever spent, last two blocks my eyes were so tired of sitting in front of the computer, that i got very slow in the middle of the last block and because of that i just had to blindly guess the last two questions because i was short of time.

questions were very long but there were short questions too to compensate for the time.

some of hte questions i had no clue what to answer , i was like what r they talking about here, some were very straight forwrad questions, kind u can jump to the answer right away and some were a bit tricky.

the questions were emphesizing more on the clinical findings.

i got a lot of gynae questions.urinary incontinence was heavily tested and so were the breast masses, and hypercalcemia.

i think from medicine i got a lot of endocrinology questions and respiratory questions.

all in all i think questions were emphasizing on clincal presentations , so u need to be very strong in clinical diagnoses so that u can proceed with everything, and take things step by step.

in psychiatry u should be familiar with all the behavioral therapies, i got quiet a few questions out of them.

ok then guys.

GOOD LUCK to everyone,

U CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank u guys.i am really scared about my score because i kind of don't know how the exam went, but let's see.i have my fingers crossed.

yeah tolito u r right , days seem so longer, nothing much to do, but i have to get back to studies by tommoro got my CS soon.

and npas i studied for about 6 months, in the begning i was only doing like five hours a day but towards the end i was putting in atleast 8 hours of study.last two weeks i was doing my last revision of medicine and was approximately studying 10 hours straight.last two weeks were very dificuilt ,because although i was only reading my kaplan mediciene notes again but things use to keep poping up , and i had to open up peads or gynae or surgery notes to check them out and then ,and i use to start revising what ever page i got opened OH MY i was completely going crazy.

i think atleast 4 readings of kaplan medicine notes are required to get hold of every tiny detail they have given in the book.all the other subjects three readings will be good.

i got a lot of endo questions .especially thyroid and calcium regulation.

in first aid they have a rapid review section at the end which is very good for a quick brush up.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Hi,

I'm wondering how accurate the NBME score prediction is from the real Step II CK score. I am about to take the exam on Friday and just want to make sure I'm in good standing.

Thanks,
YAD

Thanks a lot vanishta and surfer.

and Yad, real exam is quite a lot like NBME, so it is very good that u take one NBME before the exam, i think it really gives u the feel of actual exam.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

hello.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR RESULT. WANT TO ASK ONE Q THAT IS IT GOOD TO SOLVE NBME Q WHICH MOSTLY PEOPLE POST HERE B/C I HEARD WE GET 2 OR 3 Q FROM THAT ALSO OR SHOULD I SOLVE MYSELF IN THE END TO SEE HOW MUCH I SCORE IN IT?

THANX.

hello farewell,

i think the better idea would be to take a full swing exam to get the feel of the real exam and also to see how u score on it.

good luck!!!
