hi everyone this forum has been really supportive
i am an IMG from a top medical school of india
my case is ive got 78/ 192 on the step 1, 250/99 on the step 2
still have some amount of Internship left at school
ive got a couple of published research papers and am working on 2 more research projects
i dream of a university based internal medicine program........is this possible ?
2 places have alredy refused me a clerkship as they see only the step 1 score ? are there places that dont need step 1 score from a foreign student ?
can a couple of observerships solve my problem /?
my problem is most programs have an individual cutoff score requirement like 80 or 82, so can i still apply there or is it a waste ?
i dont know what to do, should i go for a prelim medicine or a transitional year and then reapply ? i dont want to get into psychiatry or family medicine
what are my options......please advice even if it shatters my dreams of an academic internal medicine program

Email to Residency programs one by one and ask about their reqiuerment and whether they offer clerckship or observership?
