I had my interview there last tuesday... It is a community hosp aff to the Univ of Miami, is a medium size program. Almost all faculty is part time. The hospital receives private patients from their attendings and the residents are not allowed to work with them unless the attending gives his permission. The PD mentioned that most of the patients that the residents work with are homeless people and their main admission is drug abuse, fancy cases are the private ones. They have no night float. They encourage research to the residents but most is about cardiology. No fellowships from the institution, but the fellows from Jackson Memorial rotate in there. The benefits are like any other average program. Conferences are nice, especially the grand rounds. They assess residents anually. Several IMG's and they offer H1 for those that have the results of step 3 before march 15. The beach view from the upper floors is awsome. The residents mentioned that the place to live is not bad at all, active night life, not-so-expensive rentals, very nice if you are single, not so nice if you want to rise a family... That is an imparcial description of the place, I personally didn't like it at all...

That's it, hope you like it!!!
