hi, BBB and everybody, i am wondering, for those programs we applied but not hear anything yet so far, is it the end of hope or some programs are still screening for interview, just like: the invitations sent out first for best candidates and relative weak applicants will be discussed more?

Applications are usually sent first reviewed, first invited.

BBB, thank you very much for your reply. So, my understanding is, because i applied pretty late in mid-october, my application might have not been viewed yet, consequently, there's still some hope; am i right?

I applied in the first week of sept.Still I did not get my application status message from some programs which has already sent rejections and invitations to tons of people. I dont know what to think about the situation

at a coupla places where i have iviewed they say either of the following -
either they sample the applicant population and call different classes of ppl
or they have no set way of calling applicants
i too havent heard from tons of places. and competitive places have called my pals and have me a reject. depends on their criteria.

wow apurva...if you are still to hear from tonnes of places, I wonder how many interviews you will finally end up with...what was it, 20 or so at last count??
man, you are every IMGs hero as far as getting ivs is concerned!
