Rody mechanism of hypothyroidism inducing hyponatremia is incompletely understood. The principal abnormality in the patient with normal fluid intake appears to be the inability to maximally suppress antidiuretic hormone due to reduced cardiac output The glomerular filtration is also decreased in hypothyroidism which can diminish free water excretion by diminishing water delivery to the diluting segments the net effect is the retention of ingested water and a reduction in the plasma sodium concentration by dilution. hope that make sense

T3 has an inhibitory effect on ADH...hypothyroidism leadz to the alteration in this effect which leadz to the mild INPPROPRIATE ADH condition which leads to excessive water retention reducing plasma sodium causing hyponatremia......
