What's the average and the range of days to receive a prematch offer after the interview? how many days must we wait after the IV to receive a prematch offer (mean and range)? i know you can also receive an offer the day of the IV but besides that.

I never got a prematch offer but I will get it in January, when I'll attend my interviews. If you are patient I'll let you know

I heard that it could from the same day just after the interview has ended to a couple of weeks... but I think that is very hard to give an accurate number, since all I heard are rumors.

It's another one of those answers that no one wants to hear: It's going to depend on the program. Sometimes the same day, sometimes it's weeks after the interview.

yeah its one of those questions which hav many answers and yet there is no definite answer Timing can range from morning of the interview day to 2-3 years past the interview. One candidate was offered prematch by the cab driver who was taking the candidate to the program for the interview. It happened even before they reached the program..Program was so desperate to identify and grab good candidates that it had trained cab drivers to dish out prematches . This guy didnt accept a prematch and unfortunately he remained unmatched in the match .Disappointed by this whole ordeal ,he changed profession and bacame a businessmen. On a trip to the same city where he was offered prematch 2-3 years ago,by stroke of luck ,he got into the same taxi and the same cab driver offered him the prematch once again ..this time he accepted. After completing the residency this candidate reckoned that cab drivving is a more lucrative profession that being a physcian so he bacame a cab driver .He can be seen in the city offering prematches to candidates.. BTW-that candidates name is dr Christain Bernard.he performed the first known heart transplant
