I'm a FMG, I'm looking for Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
STEP 1: 190/78
STEP 2: WILL TAKE DEC 13/2006,
CS: WILL TAKE MARCH 30/2007
Do I have any chance to get any hospital 2007 ???
What will happen if I apply to programs now ????
Do I have any chance in the scramble ???
Does someone know any hope at last minute??
Any chance if I get a special recomendation ???

Hi there:
As far as I know, in order to be in a match - 2007 , you must be ECFMG Certified before February 11, 2007 (Rank Order List deadline) and if you are not, then you will be automatically out of match. In your case, you are going to take ur CS on March 30th, 2007 and this is beyond February and you will be able to get your results after almost 8 weeks.
Advice: If you want to match this year, take ur CS before December 31st then you can have your results by February and if you can do so then apply to the programs now (if you really want) then at least you wont' be out of match if you manage to pass all of them in first attempt.........

Its difficult to give chances here but if you apply with only ur 78 score, it will be really unlikely that u get iv. Unless you have GC or strong recommendation. but it will still be very difficult. But you can still try. we never know

Can you prepone your CS? That way you may get your ECFMG certification before the deadline and put in yr application with hopes for the post match scramble?

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU
You just gave me a great idea, I didn't realize, but now I think I can prepone my CS and play my last hope for the postmatch (scramble)
Anyway is better try this that nothing or just sit and wait the next year
