Thx! for replying at such good length to me, Lifeinthefastlane. Man! I have the bronx programs lined up first (which are MOST LIKELY to offer a pre-match) and others like UoL, Penn hosp, SUNY and St Francis scheduled for later (which MAY/MAY NOT offer me a pre-match).
I dunno if I'll end up accepting one of the the bronx offers to kill my insecurity. Gulp!

In truth...you should disregard what I or anyone else has to say about any program...what really matters is WHAT YOU FEEL about a program when you visit it, what your gut-feeling is (like GWB, who uses his gut feeling (only) for everything...only you gotta do it more wisely)..for after all no matter what I or scutwork.com or anyone says, its you who have to go there and only you can decide whether a program meets your needs and whether you will be happy there or not.]

U have so many good programs for the IV..my suggestion would be to buy time from OLMMC and check out others in the mean time...don't make decision in haste that u repent later in life (anyway OLMMC has only 1 gastro fellow every year, 1 hemat/onc i guess...they do have 6 geriatrics fellows although..seemingly, the chances of good fellowships are less..)For a person of your caliber I think u should check out other programs 1st before deciding to sign it....i know its difficult but then What's easy in life!!Good Luck buddy...
