i was thrown out of an interview today. they told me i have come last year and there policy is not to interview the same candidate again. i had got this interview after e mailing the pd and the pc was not ready to listen.
it was bad after reaching a place and then thrown out by pc.
anyway one has to move on. i have lot of much better calls than that program this year. will try to get over this humilation before next interview

the road is not easy and the game is sometimes very-very painful, buddy.
But luckily you knew already what to do next: MOVE ON
good luck

Well I'm so sorry read that. People who treat people like this do not deserve nice people.

You have to move on. forget about it. Life is made of good events and bad events. You just went through a bad one, now just wait patiently for the good one.

thanks buddy. was feeling so low after the humilation had to share with somebody.
good luck to all

Hi you loos nothing, tell them why did you invite you again, you had to spend this many dollars for the so and so flight to reach there.
So you had spent over 500 dollars to be thrown out and that you will discuss all legal means to get it back.

Is it given again that once candidate do interviewed once will not be interviewed again any where in the interview clause.

Which place is it , please let us know in case some one has any more ideas.

it is one of so called bad programs in new york. the pc showed me the invitation e mail. it's written at the end abt this.

thanks for ur concern but i won't pursue it. if they treat me like this at interview what's the use of prolonging it

  #8

All I can do is say that I am shocked that a program would treat someone like this. Even if that is there policy, you should have been treated like every other applicant in the room.

All the words that I can think of to describe this situation are foul.

No one on this planet deserves that treatment. But you also learned that you don't want to work there. Who would after that. (can't be my program, we haven't thrown anyone out).

Good luck with your other interviews.

iwilldoit, I am really sorry to hear this happened to you. You don't want to work there to begin with, but you could have been spared the humiliation, if not the money! And since this is not something that might have happened or you heard it happened, but a dry fact that happened to you personally, please let everybody else in this forum know what program exactly you're talking about. This way other candidates won't have to go through the same experience and the program will sooner, rather than later get the feedback it deserves from candidates.

thanks bbb . i knew it was not ur program. in fact this was the first pc i met who behaved like that. all rest including te staff at all programs till now have been very good.
docrocker u r thinking the right program. i think they are the only one in usa who have that requirement.
gd11 that program calls a lot of people . it's in nyc. i can't tell u more man. i can be traced.
good luck

this is shocking behavior.....sometimes, people on the other side of the table have just no sense of decency left in them!

If this is their policy then they should not call the applicant for the interview(imagine if an applicant flew in from west coast to nyc for this iv). Whats the point in sending the iv call when u dont want to interview. real jerks

God has always the best things planned for us,only we realize it late, iwilldoit, you are going to get into a better program, you are saved from this program.

  #15

hey iwilldoit! your name says it all! just be patient, even if they had compromised and interviewed you for name sake and then not ranked you, things wouldnt have been different ,your trip there would still have been a waste(yes i know you wouldnt have had the humiliation though). but stilll u dont want to work with a program for three years that has utter disrespect for you!! so as u said: MOVE ON

  #16

this is shocking........u definitely dont need to work in such programmes
