I'm not an expert but I wouldn't ask about prematch myself. If they want you they'll offer you one. But that is just my personal opinion.

Well the real problem is that most of the information is posted on the departmental website. And basically it leaves us with nothing to ask about. In my first interview I was confused when the first question asked to me by my interviewer was " Do you have any questions for me??" I said "NO". Since most of the information I had gained from the website and from local residents. But then you can always ask that how much freedom a resident is given in your set up? Can a resident order all investigations including the costly ones like MRI without asking the attendings? What qualities do you expect in your residents?? Anyways, I am also waiting for some PC or PD to give me some information on what questions to ask for since most questions get answered in the website or by the residents.
