I have two q.
1.what is impingement syndrome in shoulder and cause of that?(we should know 3 manuevers for that.)
2.Do the SP understand extend and flex?

impingement syndrome - any condition that inflames the rotator-cuff muscles (such as repeated activity and contact with the acromion) results in an "impinged" muslce mass sandwiched between the acromion above and the bones below

Pain relief after an anesthetic injection under the acromion is considered confirmatory for impingement syndrome.


While asking the patient to perform any maneuver, remember that actions speak louder than words - "Could you move your shoulder out like this " for abduction..and do it urself to indicate how.. or simply say at the start "Mr. Allen, I will make various arm movements at my shoulder joint and I want you to copy my actions, to help me understand how sever e your problem is - shall we begin ? "
