Hi, I was wondering how program directors/faculty remember the interviewee. For instance, if an interview is in November, then by rank list day...how could they possible remember us? I know I wouldn't be able to :-). Do they make notes? do the pictures help? Do thank you notes help? Is there a way for us to be more memorable?

Yes, they keep notes. And we still talk about the applicant who was nicknamed "motorcycle" because he rode his motorcyle across the mountains in India.

But also, it's the same way that you memorize a medical book.

bbb, I know u'v probably had it up to ........ here- repeating the same thing over, but I just cant get on with my life until i ask u this....

I just scheduled an interview on the 30th of Jan witha program thats REALLLYY important to me. And their last date of interviewing is 31st Jan. Does my choice of a date that late in the season project that I might not be interested in their program? Cos if it does , I need to reschedule it, even though 30 th Jan is the best date for me. And i will stop jabbering..... now !..... no now! no.....

Dont' worry about a late date. It doesn't mean a thing. I've looked at several years of data.....No correlation between early and late.....

this is the second half of the first decade of twenty first cnetury ..everything is hi-tech now. These dayss most PDs collect one litre of blood from the interviewers on the interview day. They use half litre to obtain a DNA analysis of the candidate and use the other half for identification before submiitting the ROL in feb/march..On the interview day PDs also obtain a brain biopsy to tide over the rare problem that arises when the DNA s of two different candidates match.

Generally most PDs are kind and they give the candidate a choice between local and general anaesthesia before the candidates underogoes the procedure.I prefer GA coz i dont hav to answer any questions then.

They even let me take the blood. But I do liters, not litres - but do accept coloured water and I labour over it.

bbb i have anaemia .I hope i wont be denied interview .I am rready to give a bigger chunk of my brain for biopsy.I can also submit half of my brain with thank you letter if that puts me higher in the ROL
And those spellings are delibertae mofidications intended to aid my MMD in sneaking through guruchu walls.

Depends on how long the queue is and if the centre is open that day. Nisha - if I said a half pint, everyone would know that I hang out in pubs drinking Strongbow.
