how to differentiate between Edematous Pancreatitis and Hemorrhagic pancreatitis in terms of lab work?

  #2

In edematous pancreatitis, lots of plasma is trapped inside the pancreas so the remaining blood becomes more concentrated causing increase hematocrit.
In hemorrhagic pancreatitis, pt is bleeding so decrease hematocrit
