Then you will have the opportunity to interview and decide the best for you. this is where it gets tricky. just because they offer you a prematch it doesnt mean they will rank you if u reject their offer. i had a friend who got offered a prematch from university X, he rejected it and ranked uni X 3rd on his ROL. when he went to the match, he matched at his 4th choice. he hated that place, but lucky for him he transfered to a great uni program in pgy 2. two explanations for his situation: a) uni X did rank him but down the list and all their positions were filled up by people above him in their ranking. b) uni X didnt rank him at all. so see how much youre willing to gamble for your residency spot!

um....by that you mean.. though they offer me a pre-match and i dont accept right away, there's no guarantee that they will rank me in the match? maybe, i'm too stupid to play that match game.

No, if they offer a prematch and you decide that you would rather go through the match. That's what Dhjarma means.
