As anyone had the experience of comparing Kaplans CS prep book vs 1st Aids for CS? Is one better than the other or about the same? All thoughts and opinions are welcome. Thank you, Todd Battung

thanks guys. i posted a message on the CK forum regardin Kaplan CK notes. I have 2001 and I am wondering if I should worry much about upgrading to 2006-07 versions. Has there been many changes at all? If I do upgrade, where can i find 2006 on PDF files?

I'd offer a newer alternative: USMLEHelp Step 2 CS... Only 23.30 on their website, free shipping. Great little book, perfect for the Step 2 CS. They've got like 40 full cases (with patient reactions, sample patient notes, and how to go about preparing for the exam). It's really excellent, and well worth the price. Not only for IMGs, but a little more geared for them than for AMGs. Just FYI..... USMLEHelp seems to be a small company, but with books that offer a lot of bang for the buck... Very low prices, online courses too. I'm done with the CS, but it really is a good book from what I can see. A friend of mine has it, and it's really good. They also offer some free downloads on their website.. Might be something you want to consider....
