Anyone know whether there will be any adverse effect if I try the National Residency Match more than once?

For example, join the Match this year without Greencard, so much less chances, but can still dreaming about some luck, especially the "Scramble". It will be great if something works out . And acturally, these exceptional luck happened to people before.
If not, wait for Greencard, Match next year.
Just wondering will this " failure in Match history" will have any harmful effect ?

Thanks!

I do have the same question, please help us out....thanks

No, it doesn't matter. Every year lots of people get unmatched and apply for next match. it is a matching service, not an evalution system.

I've never memorized the names of the applicants from year to year.

Thanks, BBB and amirhossein.

I guess no one will remember the names. but won't there be a record in the electronic application system. ?

They have records for sure, but it doesn't hurt your application for the next year.

I'm not going to check to see if an applicant applied the previous year.
