Got an iv call at Mayo, IM. How is the program? Furthermore, They gave me the opportunity to do a one-month observership before the interview. According to them, it could be useful for me as well as for them. What do you think with that? Is it a good idea? What would you do?

Same thing with Lahey clinic, MA: what do you thing about the program?

Mayo IM program..If you are still sober then listen ..Fantabulous x fabulastic program...Do the observership by all means ...It would serve no purpose just getting a call from there .This is the program where you want to match so be at your best and do what you can do best ...I would dance naked if they tell me to do so ..

NO idea about lahey clinic...

firstly my heartiest congrats on the 2 stellar stellar calls. im a mayo discard and wud humbly say that i cannot comment about such a great program - i suggest u take more wise opinions on studentdoctor.net
http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=...

lahey clinic is also a very good program from what i know.

as regards the observership - i dont think doin it wud cause any harm. provided its not messing up with ur schedule of iviews. and u cud say at all ur other iviews that im doin oship at mayo and it wud hit a positive chord with most pds.

gl - hope u are wearing a suit instead of a white coat like most of us next yrsmiling face

Congrats man. You are super.Everybody might know mayo is top 10. I got rejection from there.I live nearby Lahey. It is also a great program in a great location. Very rare IMGs. You should be proud of yourself. And good luck with your interviews. If you don't mind, please share your experience after that.

yeah, I'll try my best, especially at the observership. The funny thing here is I have just 5 calls (and 13 rej). This means there is no global criteria to call applicants.
