is it still the lowest paid prog in ny? hows life in Borough Park where the hosp is located? hows the prog?

it wouldn't surprise me even if some other names come into my mind that would probably pay worse than maimonides: jamaica, interfaith, brookdale...
life in Borough Park is affordable and safe: a 1-BR goes probably for $900 and the neighborhood is very safe. In other words, nothing ever happens (which might be an asset for a family-oriented person).
I know a few pediatricians there, but I don't know who is part of the program and who is not since I have no interest in the discipline.

go for the interview, wamba, and congrats! you have nothing to lose...it's not like it's a top-tier program, but that doesn't mean it is that bad, either!
