Carry the suit in your hand if you wish in a suit bag, it will not be counted as an additional hand carry-on. The same goes for small shoulder purses ladies. Wearing the suit might put wrinkles in it, so I reccomend carrying it.

Thank you Nisha for the reply. As for Laptop's reply you just had to decipher it -- The first part of it was a joke and the second part of advice was serious. By the way laptop are you finished with ur step 3.

Lakshya - buy a decent suit bag. Unless the one that comes with the suit is really good, it's only useful for getting it home. Check out Overstock.com or ebay for good prices.

jem23 wrote: laptop its hard to tell when yr joking and when u aint .are u serious!is it better to wear the suit for the interview for travelling as well. There are new underwears in the market which have an extra loop(hole ) in which you can carry the suit. This removes any threat of suit being stolen which can be a menace if you wear red designer suits.Or you can pack the suit in a mathbox. THe other thing is you can carrry the suit on the plane ,in a suitcover .You can carry two items(cabbin bag +laptop or suit or whatever ) in the cabin in addition to those which you hav checked in..THere was a time recently when only was item was being allowed but that phase is over now.I would recommend that you avoid checking in your baggage when you go for an interview.Buy a decent cabin size bag .I have seen ,with my naked eyes ,baggage going missing which leaves one with no option but to interview in an underwear..

Well, no one has interviewed in their underwear at my program (although one resident did have the nickname "Captain Underpants"), luggage has been lost and applicants in jeans and a sweater. We ranked and matched with him.

BBB .Was it a denim underwear that this guy interviewed in..Did his sweater match with the color of his underwear...this combination looks very interesting -Jeans(denim uw)and sweater...Is he the same guy who is known as captain underpants..Sorry for flooding you with querries and being intrusive but my curiosity is urging me to ask about this fellow who is an icon for all those who wear underwears.

And if I told you I was in North Dakota or Montana where hardly any one wants to live, would you still be happy? (No offense against people from North Dakota because that is where my great grand parents snuck into the country at or Montana because I love Montana)

You know, it could have been denim coloured underwear, I guess that I didn't look that close. It could have been - but now my vision has been clouded and I have a bad case of TMI. I don't know if I am going to figure out who you are on the interview day - this is going to be my quest for life.....well, at least this application season....

Montana-WOW -I saw it in legend of the falls and loved it absolutely...This is where I am going to build my practice .I will become a cardiologist of horses and wild beers.SInce veteniary science is not that advanced I am studying cardiology on humans but i will apply it on horses, beers and bats. For future needs I will need the services of a gastroenterologist.Anybody who has no qualms about doing gastroenterological procedures on Horses to please come forward.Reimbursements will not disappoint those who are interested. Unfortunate news-on coronary angiography my bat was found to havv critical stenosis of left cricumflex.Planning to hav echo(2 d echo) on him

most of the time the suit bag, I believe, has a hanger...may want to check if they still allow hangers as a carry on!!

BBB..I have a 1cm calibre bullet embedded in my brain..Since I got shot with this bullet the world has become a different place for me.TO Identify me you could follow a simple procedure.Whenever an interviewee reports to you ,move a magnet in a pendular motion. All other interviewees will be surprised and perplexed by this act but i will nod my head in pendular motion (coz oof attraction between the magnet and the bullet in my head)
