i just realised that ECFMG have lost my MSPE.
My school will not send a new one.
I've applied to competitive programs, my MSPE is really nice, i was an excellent student.
pls, could you tell me, how impt is MSPE for IMG?
if my MSPE is lost, how bad is it for me?
i mean, how much it could lower possibility of invitation for interview?

atleast you would have done a photocopy?? And ask the reason to ECFMG that how did they lose it?? Whether they did not receive it or whether they misplaced it or what happened?
If you were an excellent students it would show up in your resume, your scores, your achievements. So dean's letter alone would not be a basis for someone to decide your fate. And worst come worst, getting your dean's letter issued by your dean's office again is not a privilege, its your right and by all means you can definetely press your school authorities to atleast issue a duplicate or a photocopy.

I actually sent in a copy in the first place.
The only problem with this is i need to provide a notarised copy to all the interview places, but no complaints as interviews are few !
I think you should ask ur medical school to provide u another as it is an important document in their check list. whether they read it or not is another issue.

If you have taken a copy of it send in the copy to ecfmg and tell them u lost the original.

I waived the right to see MSPE, so that's why i don't have any copy.
When I called to the ECFMG office, they told me that, yes, they have received the package with my documents but - they didn't receive MSPE.
it's nonsense, cos MSPE was sent together with other document in one package. The other document has been scanned and uploaded.
it's driving me crazy, cos ladies in the office were acting like robots, they repeated again and again the same words, they din't listen to me, and they showed me that they didn't care at all.

Yesterday I emailed to all programs i've applied to (85 emails ) and explained what happened. I hope and I pray they will give me some time to resolve this problem.

Dont expect mercy and dont wait for them considering your case. They have lot many applicants to call from. I would suggest that instead try obtaining the MSPE from your school and try emailing all the 85 programs, that since ECFMG has lost your original MSPE you have requested a duplicate MSPE from your medical school and it is going to take some time. And assure them that you would bring the MSPE at the interview if you are invited for the interview.
