Could you tell me why is it important to do obsevership or externship or research?
Can't you just pass S1, S2ck+S2cs and get a residency?
I don't have a clue about what proper steps should be made in order to finally become a resident...
I've been having problems with even starting to learn for usmle feeling discouraged by the immense competition...
Can you recommend a good advice on how actually to start? I would like to study efficiently.

Some programs ask that you have USCE. Then it's important. Not all programs ask for it. Then it's not.
