medstar wrote: Thank you very much mph, But I have to decide very soon between these two. I would like to ask what you would do if at AECOM they accept you in medical scientist pathway? 2nd: the NY is going to be much nicer than Pitt, right? 3rd: I have been involved in basic research in which AECOM is much known throughout the world while now I am impressed by finding that UPMC is more renowned. So UPMC has a bigger name??? Your idea would be appreciated. All ur qs r case-by-case base. I can only answer based upon my condition: 1. scientist pathway doesnt really mean a lot to me. NYU downtown hospital has a medical scientist pathway too, but would u go there to be a scientist? UPMC is with more resources. 2. I dont know. I think both have advantages. NYC is funnier, but Pitt is calm. 3. UPMC is bigger in either basic or clinical world. The biggest figure of AECOM I can think of is Barry Bloom, but he left. Also, remember u r applying for Jacobi, not in AECOM medical college bench lab.
