suppose i have done my PG in ophthamology from india. now i want to practice in usa. do i need to give usmle 1 &2 or can i just apply for fellowship. hellp me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even to apply for good fellowship programmes in USA u need USMLE...

pass mle then you'll have a very good chance of getting into ophthalmology here in the u.s. Good luck.

you have to take USMLE step 1 and 2 before joining into any fellowship.

hi sherly,

well i read ur post. u will have to score really well on all ur steps to be considered for ophthalmology. if u score well then u will have to join a fellowship or an observership in usa. there u will have to work really hard and prove urself to be considered for ophthalmology residency. it is a long haul and u should be prepared for it. just work hard and keep at it and one day u will realize ur dream. uphill task but very much doable.
