I am looking into accepting a prematch offer in Illinois but after reading the Illinois State Medical Board requirements I am a little confused. It talks about 6 years post secondary education split as 2 years pre-professional education and 4 years of medical school. I can understand that requirement for US and Canadian graduates but for those of us who graduated from India we went straight from finishing secondary school to medical school. Please look at the following link to the Illinois State Medical Board requirements. Can someone please clarify this for me if this requirement applies to IMGs also.
