What is the surgical consern if a surgeon has to open epiploic foramen ?

3 main things could be severed: Hepatic artery, Portal vein, and the Common Bile Duct. These 3 structures pass between the 2 layers of Foramen of Winslow (epiploic foramen)

thanks....therefore main concern for the surgeon is hepatic artery
also IVC comes in its posterior relation
