Hi,
Im wondering is anesthesia regarded as a highly competitve field ? especially for me as being an IMG with 89/91/ non certified/awaiting cs.

yeah, it is the fourth most competitive after Radiology, Neuro surgery, and Plastic Surgery.

I have heard it is competitive, but not very or extremely competitive. It has been more competitive in the last few years, but it is still attainable for IMGs. Just be positive.
