Hello everybody:
I am really freakingout about the whole step 1 thing. I started preparing 6 months ago. I work full time, have a 2 yearold at home and my husband is a resident, so I really only have aprox 3hours a day to study.
I already finished UW questions today. but still getting an embarrasing 50% I watched the kaplan videos and quickly wnet through the books. I am sick of this, but I really dont want to fail. I want to go into OB/GYN and all I hear from the people around is that they have great scores and still dont match in OB.
I want to be over with the test but I really dont want to jeopardize my application process in the future.
I already programmed my date for Nov 28.
DO YOU THINK I SHOULD REESCHEDULE MY TESTING APPOINTMENT?

What is your score in Q bank?
Take NMBE, if you get more than 400 u are OK
My score is also 53, people saying it's not bad
What year is your Kaplan material

have not take nbme mi kaplan material is from 2004.

hi dranagarcia,
i think you have done most of your studies and for some reason are terrified getting close to the exam...my husband was in the same situation three months back and was scoring around the same as you are but i forced him to go for the exam and he is so glad he did...he got 89 which is not a great score but we are happy with it. You should aim at finishing all the questions you plan to do as you are learning with every question even if it doesnt feel like that...and keep best to stay cool (in which im sure your husband must be helping a LOT

I did not understand. If your score in Q bank 48/50, it's great, but if it's 48% Postpone

Hello epica... I wish I was scoring 40/50. but no.. I am scoring actually more now... I have done 500 q so far from the kaplan QB and the overall score y 59. I feel more confident now... but I dont know. What do you think?
My husband found this new site USMLERX it is similar to UW he offer to get 1 month for me, I dont know. I am freaking out with all this Qs should I stick to kaplan and review once more first aid? or better do kaplan asn usmlerx?

Yes my husband is very supportive. and you are right I am TOTALLY freaking out. On the other hand the more I think about it the less I plan to postpone, because I cant really keep up with this. Every day I seem to repeat thing and I got to a point where most of the Q seem familiar to me but at the end I pick the wrong answer. I f I postpone I feel like I am really not going to learn that much more and most probably taking alittle break in dec will actually harm what I have acomplished already. Please tell me what was your husbands score in the q banks, and most importantly tell me if he felt the same way about the q (get down to 2 choices and finally pick the wrong one)

I think it would be better if you stick to questions than do any reviews at this time...he had the same problem but in the last one month he got much more confident..ill pray that you do well ...dont worry
