I know 2 questions that will be on the test for sure !)if you discount the permanent teeth ,how many bones are present in the head and torso of an adult with down syndrome . 2)What is the exact bone density of a bat who has 3 girlfriends. No history of additional calcium supplementation .Diet consists of blood (Victim has pseudopseudohyperparathyroidism and has a Hb=13).No history of sunlight exposure .

in one of my conversations with an attending physician (who is also an interviewer at a university hospital), he said he had discovered for sure that they DO NOT grade u on such MCQs.he matched into a program that had given hima an MCQ, only to learn later on from the PC that nobody has the time to go through those. so if i takee his word for it,they r just to keep u engaged.

nah. just gave the test today. they do grade it. and the pd does look at the result. i didnt prep for it. scored average. its upto them about how much emphasis do they want to put on the test. the test itself is of s3 level. with negatively worded qs. covering all specs. i suggest not to read for it. either u know it or u dont. if ur really OCD then just read crush s3 - however it wont help u a lot too. gl

my 2 cents, if a program requires a multiple choice test and is asking lots of medical questions, either of these three situation is plausible: 1. they dont realize that you are applying for residency TRAINING and you expect to learn during these period (off course it is a balance between teaching and service) 2. they dont know how to teach residents. 3. they are not interested in teaching residents. i bet my two cents in the latter one. ngt.

well its the programs prerogative to test u or not. same way its ur prerogative where to rank it.how much emphasis they give to ur application and how much to their test is their job. i have never ustood the big hoopla about ppl bein "blue bloodish" about medical qs. its either viewed with despise or with fear. and yes i do agree with the fact that its not "ethical" and that many of the progs who follow this policy arent ivy league. my 2c - its their job. we shud get on with ours. they are not goin to ask interven cardiology board review qs. the qs will b of our level. i ustand all ur arguments about "i have passed usmle with 99/99/99" and stuff like that. my q is - wat ru gonna do about it?? cancel the iview?? i have been asked medical qs at a coupla other progs. bottom line - we need the spot. i have heard ppl at st barnabas bein asked trigo qs even.. bcoz maybe life is just 1 big test amit - i found the program good. diffic to get into cardio. but good scope for geri. gl apurva no offence to any1.
