hi iam planning to take c.s in june 2007.i have few doubts to clarify.
as of now dates are available for march.if i want to take exam in june,by when should i apply?
once application goes in and get approved does the permit start immediately ie 12 month permit.

the date which your permit issued is the first date of 1-year elegibility period.

when you get the permit, you can access to scheduling page, you can subscribe to email notification system for your prefered date or keep refereshing page evey 5 sec ( for peak time, oct, nov, dec) or every 2-3 days for off-peak time( mar, apr).

the email from ECFMG is a good option, make a gamil account for yourself, download the gamil notifier from your gmail setting. whenever you get an email on your gamil, a pop-up screen with a sound appear on your desktop, showing the subject of the email.

tell me if you have more Q.

you can apply for CS, after you clear step 1. so I were you, I took step 1 earlier.
it is good to have all the result in hand before Sept, first. (ERAS opening)
