JOHN, 35 yrs.old patient was brought to physician by his wife. he was fired from the job a couple of months ago, and ever since he has loss of appetite and found it difficult to sleep. there was documented weightloss. he stays mostly indoors and keeps to himself.on examination he is unshaven, and malodourous. he weighed 275 lbs. a diagnosis of major depressive disorder is made and physician wants to write a prescription, pateint's wife wanted a drug which will not cause further wieght gain. which one of the following is best.......for the purpose?

congras guys ,you all got it correct. FLUOXETIENE is the SSRI. selective seratonin re-uptake inhibitor. these days considered as DRUG OF CHOCE for depression. FIRST LINE therapy too. has some side-effects like,agitation and inability to achieve orgasm, but it does not cause WEIGHT GAIN.
