I'm just another IMG with scores in the 90's and all the required 'criterias' to work my way thru the american system.
I applied to a 100 odd programs, applied on Sep 1. And here I am after 2 months..just 3 calls !
I am reading other people getting calls at the same places I applied to, with comparable scores and qualifications. What is separating me out? I'm in the need of the same visa as them!
For the same program, some get rejections, some get invited...but I don't get either...what is this..a waste of money?
this experience is disillusioning, echoed with the silence my mailbox has been witness for 20 days straight..
Sorry guys, venting..

Hang in there manvik,
since you have what it takes to get a decent number of interviews, you shouldn't have to worry about it. You still have 3 months in this marathon...
3 interviews are not bad at all for this time of the season, and remember, no news is good news until you get that interview!

Maybe start emailing programs, highlighting your strengths. See if you can still join some sort of ongoing research or externship to ensure that you match at one of your iveiew places. Remember u just need one lucky iview to make it happen. Good luck!

If you need visa, with your 90+ scores, 3 iv is a average number.don't be worry. try to pass step 3, it will definitely help you for the next year, if you don't match.
Right now, the most important part, is to be confident on interview scene, try to impress the attendings and ask several questions from the Chief, on hospital tour. ask them whether they are willing to rank you or offer prematch. you have a chance to match this year even with one good IV.

Thanks for the motivation, people...something I adore about this forum.
Its just that I can recollects around 10 hospitals off my head right now which are sending invites and my mailbox ain't the recepient, nor a reject...that's a bummer.
