Pt. on 100% O2 & ventilator.

PaO2 = 93%
PaCO2=56%
pH=7.3 HCO3=31

What will be your management ?

a. -Decrease O2 saturation
b. -Increase respiratory rate
c. -Increase tidal volume

Thanks.

this is resp acidosis, increase the heart rate..
but wat i feel is the Q is incomplete, with fio2 100% , and Po2 of 93%, if this a pt of ARDS then the mgt will be diff. , in that we give permissible hypercapnea , 100% O2, and increas the peep if spo2 is falling... Po2 of 93% is quit adequate for pt with ARDS, nothing to do unless po2 falls
