I sent in a new transcript to replace my old one on file at eras. My question is for the program coordinators/directors: Will the programs have access to my old transcript that they have already downloaded?
I emailed ERAS and they said that electronically the new transcript will replace the old one, but they have no control over how the progrmas store the data. So this is why I wanted to ask the program coordinators/directors if they would have access to my old transcript.
Please help, this is stressing me out!
Thanks,
Firefly

I'm not a senior but i have experience with replalcing transcripts. Once programs uploaded your trancript, they have acces to it. if you send a new one AFTER an old transcript is uploaded, this will be scanned and uploaded, too. so that programs will have both transcripts.
only programs which didn't upload the old transcript before uploading new one, will have only new one.

Actually, in my uploaded documents list, there is only one transcript, because the new transcript replaced the old one, and was not added.
Are you saying even if the new transcript replaced the old one, and there is only 1 transcript in the uploaded documents, that the programs will still have access to the transcript?
I was told by ERAS that the new transcript has replaced the old one, but they do not know if programs will have the old transcript, since they are not aware how the programs handle the data, once they download it. But they can't download the old transcript, because the new one has replaced it.
Anyone know if they will have access to the old transcript that has already been dowloaded?

No access to the old one - it's gone. ___________________ bbb - trying to combine common sense and humour into realistic answers, but not going to guess on anyone's chances of getting into a position....

Sorry to bother, but one last query.
So you mean even if the programs already downloaded the old transcript, they will not have it on their system, or a hardcopy, or any type of access to it?
Thank you so much for replying, this has been really been stressing me out.

IF they didn't print it, and didn't turn you into a PDF file, it's gone. ___________________ bbb - trying to combine common sense and humour into realistic answers, but not going to guess on anyone's chances of getting into a position....

Do programs usually print an applicants documents out once they are downloaded, or only when they will review the application? I know you arent aware of what each program does, but if you could tell me how your program proceeds or if you could make an educated guess on how most programs would proceed, as you can better estimate an answer.
Thanks so much bbb!

I don't print anything until about 2 days before an interview. I try and save trees. ___________________ bbb - trying to combine common sense and humour into realistic answers, but not going to guess on anyone's chances of getting into a position....

Just curious bbb, is it possible for you to sort out the applicants using the eras once every application is retrieved i.e. can you search for applicants who have 90+ only or say only those applicants from the zillion odd apllicants who do not need a visa , etc...
That would be a great feature for you ppl in the preliminary screening of applicants, isnt it? ___________________ "Where there is a will there is a way!" -Anonymous

If I can figure out how to run the filter, I can filter based on everything........anything. Marital status excluded. Or Hunkiness.....(which means good looking men). ___________________ bbb - trying to combine common sense and humour into realistic answers, but not going to guess on anyone's chances of getting into a position....
