hi, BBB, this question haunted me for long time, i have pretty low USMLE scores (one below 80, one a little bit higher than 80), these are my weakest part, maybe lethal part in application; however, i have really strong LORs, one famous physician wrote a really strong LOR for me; i am not sure, for programs, how this LOR weigh, do they care more USMLE score and use it for screening or the whole package, especially the strong LORs will help me?

i know this is tough question, it might depend on each individual program or even each individual reviewer, but, i am just curious.

thanx for the reply and anybody else, pls give me some suggestions.

good luck for everybody here

You have both questions and answers in ur post. there is really nothing anyone can say.

there are programs which just see scores- which may not call u. there are programs who see everything in which case u will definitely be called.

have patience and faith.smiling face

btw, another technical questions, i noticed a lot of people on this forum mentioned that the program "call" them; i left my home phone number in the CAF, will the program really "call" me at home instead of email me? nobody at home during daytime (sure i hava an answer machine), so, will i miss anything if i miss the phone call? thanx
