You dont need the form, I was just trying to give you a format. Yes a plain paper with his signature shall serve the purpose. Some people recommend using a stamp paper for such letters, but I used a plain paper from my dad saying he will sponsor my trip.

oh thank u so much....this visa matters are really getting me nervous and panicky... im not even able to concentrate enough in my CK which is earlier than Cs. well in btw, Priya, one more Q. My ck is on jun 4th and cs on jun 23rd. is that enough time to prepare for CS or should i start earleir itself?

hi..im new user here...im preparing for step 1..taking in july im at US on F2 visa...how can i get it converted to JI....plus can i do obersevership etc on on my current stautus or take cs?

i dont think there is any problem in converting F2 to J1 you wont have any problem in your case. Yes you can do observership on J1 unless and until the Hospital or University has any specific requirement or limitation. For example some universities have specific reqt of letting the FMGs do an observership only on B1/B2. so check with the place you're doing an observership.

hello everybody...this thread has been very helpful...
my visa iv is on 5 june....
In the DS-156 i mentioned the name/address/phone no. of my dad's friend who i would be staying with, in USA....but many people warn against mentioning friends/relatives address on the ds form and in the iv ... should i change it and mention the details of the hotel i would be staying in atlanta? or it doesnt matter ?
I am taking a Cover letter..i am a med student and will come back for sure, to complete my course here.....i have mentioned this on my cover letter and i have also taken a letter from the dean allowing me to take leave for 2 weeks for CS n travelling...i want the VO to know this somehow...so should i present the VO the cover letter at the counter as soon as the iv begins even if the VO dont ask for it, coz they dont usually ask for it?

lakshya, I dont think it wil harm you if you mention that you will be staying with a relative but being on a safer side you can mention the nam eof the Hotel, NObody will call the hotel and confirm whether you're staying there or not!
In second case you can give the cover letter, it wont harm but its better to respond to the questions which the Officer asks first, if you feel the need you can present the paper, but I will say don't worry and take it easy, Answer what you're asked say what they want to know.

I am an IMG, was ECFMG last week and am planning to start my residency on H-1B visa, so I am taking step 3 within three months.
Does anyone know or have any suggestions as to how soon I should have my step 3 score?. By the time the programs start downloading the applications?.. interviews time? later than that? Please HELP!! don't know what to do and can not take step 3 right now..

Hi all ,
I had received an 221 g from Chennai counsulate for few docs from the US company.Could you please tell me from where to fill the DS 157
I had filled the DS 156 from www.evisaform.com but not sure abt the DS 157 ..Do I need to fill it or can i take the Old copy of DS 157.
Do I need to pay 155rs as I heard that need to pay..Please tell me where to pay this and in favour of whom should be the DD be ..
Kindly guide me for this.
