My boyfriend, who got over a 245 on his boards, studied only pharm from FA, and he said it was sufficient if you KNOW EVERYTHING. I think the principles like kinetics/dynamics you might want to read elsewhere to get a better undestanding. But that is my personal opinion.

I already took step1 exam and passed.
All my pharma questions on exam was in FA.

regarding this..what FA are u talking about ..the 2006 one or the older editions (the 2004 one has like 50 pages on pharma, the 2006 one has a lot fewer)

FA 2005 is enuf for Pharma but if coupled it with Katzung Board Review it gives an inner confidence (somehow it did to me )
the only difference in the newer editions is that given by a veteran of this forum who said there r mistakes in the FA now i havent seen the new FA but i have got same comments from other people
Mind u there r some people on forums who advocate some books who infact r representative of that Particular company for eg. I came across a post on Usmleforums where a guy who worked for the FA ppl had actually reinforced the copyright law n bugged everyone who was asking for links to books as a result many of the links r not working so i can imagine there certain other ppl who give boost to their own personal books just by recommending them so in the end I recommend that u do both Katzung n FA just to be on the safe side
PS i m not repeat not accusing neone of doing the same here in this post but i have just shared my opinion n i further apologise if i have offended neone

Hi
I completely agree with the comment above, i just started katzung today ironically, and am doing the questions, definitely FA is not enough. I feel better using both FA and Katzung. Thanks for the comment i appreciate the help. all the best/
