No penalties .Anybody could do that mistake.If your work experiene has been written in a serial chronology and only one particular year/duration is mentioned wrongly,the reader will be able to figure it out .Your CV stands out for your achievemetns and one minor mistake cant ruin it .If your credentails make you worthy of a spot without one minor mistake ,they should do the same indeed with one minor mistake.
Killers roam free in this world ,why do you think you will be crucified for a mistake which any sane person can commit.
