Not a question for me - that happens outside of a residency office, most likely with the attorney. Good luck

When you apply for the visa you have to have the "proof of marriage" (i.e. marriage certificate or equivalent IN ENGLISH) filed with the visa papers and you will need a copy when you go to the embassy to get your visa stamped in. If your spouse gets a separate appointment by the embassy, make sure that he/she has a copy, too. I hope this helps. Best, Mufurc

thank you for your reply. So to make this clear you need the marraige certificate while the pittion is being filed by the attorney . right?
