I have a Q regarding H1b visa. I know that if I got a position on H1b visa my spouse get an H4 visa . my question is at which point in the process will i need to provide documents regarding my marriage. is it while filling for the H1 petition or only at the embassy when issuing the visa.the other part of the Q will both visas be issued together or the spouse should get her visa later on.

thank you<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Not a question for me - that happens outside of a residency office, most likely with the attorney. Good luck

When you apply for the visa you have to have the "proof of marriage" (i.e. marriage certificate or equivalent IN ENGLISH) filed with the visa papers and you will need a copy when you go to the embassy to get your visa stamped in. If your spouse gets a separate appointment by the embassy, make sure that he/she has a copy, too.
I hope this helps. Best, Mufurc
