Usage of which of following drug may cause ventricular fibrillation, and thus is contraindicated, in patients w/ Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and atrial fibrillation?
A. Amiodarone
B. Digoxin
C. Adenosine
D. Disopyramide
E. Quinidine

  #2

Digoxin may increase the ventricular rate and cause ventricular fibrillation in patients with WPW.

Digoxin has Negative chronotopic effects by slowing Vagal impulse .. and therefore potentially lead to AV Blockadge ...

Thus in a Pt with WPW synd .. where there is an accessory pathway (The Bundle of Kent) .. Impulse conduction increases through the accessory pathway .. leading to a VF.

P.s. Bundle of Kent has a longer refractory period than the AV nodes .. !! therefore allowing the circut pathway .. !!
