conard williams, a scientist from NASA comes to see the physician. when told that he has to wait for 10 minutes, heaccuses receptionist of deliberately putting him in freezing room. when physician finally arrives in the room, he remarks, what took you so long? why all of you docs are like this? you never understand the importance of other professions..when asked about the reason for visit, he tells that all the colleagues in his department are against him, trying to dislodge him from his postition..."when told about the investigations to be done, he confronts the physician that his (proposed)investigation is the NOT THE BEST...what all you do want to do is make $ , doc..........which personality disorder he is suffering from?

the statement 'he tells that all the colleagues in his department are against him, trying to dislodge him from his postition' seems like paranoid to me. he thinks ppl r plotting against him

it is not C the narcissistic . narcisisstic personality disorder people feel the grandiosity. you arenot merely important , you are the reason why the whole world exists......kindof thinking. here in this vignette, patient has displayed, pervasive paronoia, suspected that receptionist is deliberately putting him in a freezing room (which she did not do) , believed that his colleagues are against him,(which is not true) and then agian suspected the doctor is trying to make money, and told that all doctors are like this. so, he is paranoid, not just at work, but in other places also. you dont catch a personality disorder, YOU ARE ALWAYS ONE. THEY ARE EGO SYNTONI, " I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM SUCKER, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM" attittude. this persnon fits into PARANOID personality disorder 100%.
