1st time: 180/74 & stunned by 2nd attempt since i studied so much once more: 177/73. i've never failed anything until now (can barely say the word 'fail') & i'm just crushed & heartbroken & lost & angry & wish to walk away from all this. but something is pleading with me to attempt just once more. any suggestions on how to study please? & overcome what i'm feeling please? thank you so very much! with best wishes. bye.

hi julia72,
iam deeply sorry that u couldnt make it.first i would like to know what study methods u adopting .dont jump into it right away,take a break for 2wks .I hope u do a lots of Q ,anything u can lay ur hands on.best u have a study partner .dont hesitate to revise the topics u think u know too well and please dont committ any excesses in terms of studying ie extensive research work.

I'm in kind of the same situation, i took the exam in dec 2003 and just missed passing also. I was so upset, but the only thing we can do is just be strong and try again. the important thing is not to give up. I had studied for 3 months straight, even scored well on practice exams, but I guess it just wasn't my luck, but i'm not giving up, and u shouldn't either.

Probable i am wrong, but try only questions, A lot of them the much you can, that may help , I have no experience like you taking the test , but don't give up, next time you will make it.

Go only for first aid and questions (q bank ,q book ) and pathology book.
limit your information , review first aid for 5 times very very well, do q again and again , study pathology book too .
you will have above 85

Back in High school, one of my teachers advised me this after I failed an exam. " Start all over as if you were taking the exam for the first time. Don't think that because you went through a material one time , you know it." Sure enough, it worked well for me.

i got my result in my step 2 exam. i got 194/79 i m img and i have entered usa because i m married to usa citizen. i m feeling so low because of my scores. please tell me will i be able to get residency in internal medicine

I am in the same boat and I just found out i passed it and this was after several attempts like you. Just do not give up and try again. You are almost there and you know you have the knowledge .

I have been through this too I tried in Oct 2003 got 72 then I tried in july 2004 got 72 I thought I am done with this specially I am an IMG and graduated 1997 but after 2 weks I realized that nothing will stop me of doing this I will keep trying never give up.Take a break then start all over again study like You are studying for the first time you will do it .GOOD LUCK
