hi i have already taken step 1 and all my documents have been verified by ecfmg . Now i am trying to register for step 2 and my question is is there any (Certification of identification form 186 ) also to be mailed to ecfmg?..i am trying to choose teh eligibility period of dec jan feb, and the deadline by which ecfmg should recieve both online and MAil part is oct 31. Can anyone explain the procedure of application plz ? Thankyou
Also my name on my med diploma was different then my current name and this has been verified too by ecfmg previously by providing affidavit frm my school. Do i have to submit that again via mail?

not sure about the name change thing....but u wont have to submit anything else...n if i may be allowed to veture a guess,id say u wont need to submit the name change documentation again either..

your form 186 is valid for 5 year so no need for that. about name is that have been varified for step 1 then no need for step2.
better write this specific Question of name change to info@ecfmg.org and get their respose
i am sure this would not be problem

I had the same situation with my name. You don't have to verify your name twice. No need to send any paper, just fill on-line application form for step 2 ck. That's all you need to do.
