Autopsy of a new born who died of multiple congenital heart defects reveals a malformed heart: Aorta from a morphologic right ventricle located on the right side of the heart and pulmonary artery overrides a ventricular septa defects. Which malformation is present?

Look at the definition of transposition of the great vessel with a VSD-it is very close to what you describe.

HLHS-hypoplastic left heart syndrome...with a transposition...and a VSD... :lol:

mjl1717, i think you are not correct because, In transposition (common pattern) the aorta arises from a morphologic right ventricle on the right side of the heart, and the pulmonary artery arises from a morphologic left ventricle on the left side of the heart and do not overrides a vetricular septa

ANS: The heart has a Taussig-Bing malformation, the clinical findings are very similar to Trasposition with vsd
