Hello friends,

I dont know what else should i do? 99/99/cs passed/3 yr medicine residency experience/ green card holder(permanent resident) and still only 2 interviews????? I have applied in 60 internal medicine program, almost all the university programs, few community based-university affiliated programs. I got my step 2 CK scores in last week of september. I had submitted my application and applied to all the 60 places on one single day, september 14th. I just wonder that although ECFMG says that it has submitted my ECFMG certificate and Step 2 ck scores to the universities, but since i had submitted my CAF early and it still shows ( STEP 2 CK Scores Awaited, ECFMG CERTIFIED- NO)-------Does this affect my admission chances?? Do program co-ordinators sometimes only see the CAF to triage the complete applications from the incomplete ones?? Would it be wise to E-mail all the places I have applied to ask about my status and inform that my CAF shows ECFMG not certified but now i am certified??

u can change ur profile...can change now to ecfmg certified and dthe date wen it was issued
but this hardly makes any difference
univ progs send inv late
so dont worry
how many rej do u have

university programs give a preference to AMGs. They dont give interviews out until deans letter is out which will be available on nov 1. have patience.. Alternately apply to some community programs i dont know if it is too late now. then u will be inundated with callswinknod

thanks, loser, dev, jinx, chivasregal.

Thank you for relieving some of my anxiety. I would follow chivasregal's advice.

Chivasregal, what do you think would be better? To call them or email them?

Hey Lakshaya ...i am new to this forum. i wanted to know how things eventually turned out for with ur excellent credentials. i also have 99/99 on both steps/ecfmg certified/ residency in my home country.. but i would need a visa. i too intend to apply to more univ programs and few community hospitals ..is that a very risky proposition

what happened ultimately to Lakshya ?
