but the coat should have full sleeves , I did not see anyone wearing short sleeve there and the coats they provide were all full sleeve. You dont have to buy one , they do provide you with a coat but everyone who is waiting for a coat from them can not all be lucky to get the right size. One of the examinees got an extra large or something and her size was either small or medium so then she asked them to look for a smaller size one and atlast after lot of searching they found one for her. Mine was a good coat I had bought it but was not sure whether that kind of coat is alright. So I also asked one from them and they did nt have small or medium so they gave me extra large too. and finally I wore mine!!

i'm not sure if it really matters what kind of white coat you wear. but just so you know, US medical students on rounds wear long-sleeve, waist-length coats, and residents wear long-sleeve, knee-length coats.
