after graduating from med school, i did not work in my home country for 4 months. then i moved to US and took my usmle exams. after that i started my research job.

By the time i started the research job, i was 2 years out of med school. now a program coordinator sent me an e-mail asking me to explain this gap in CV. please suggest how to explain this without harming my chances to get this interview.
